A Safer Place to Play

Principle Bob Whitehead submitted a grant application to the Foundation and his request was answered. "We were absolutely flabbergasted when the Foundation offered to top up our other fundraising efforts," said Bob. Improved Facilities Benefit Whole Family

Camping is a great family activity in our short Alberta summers. This year Crooked Creek Campground, about six kilometers from Waterton Lakes National Park, has much improved washrooms and newly added shower facilities, thanks to a grant from the Lethbridge Community Foundation. Read more...

New Centre Serves Many Purposes

The Windsor Heritage Drop-In Centre in Lundbreck serves multiple purposes. Including providing seniors in the area with a place to get together for social and educational purposes. It serves as an additional community hall for gatherings and also commemorates a former landmark in the community.  Read more...



The 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness on the University of Lethbridge campus has opened up new opportunities for fitness and recreation for all residents of Lethbridge. A combination of new and renovated facilities has resulted in a new triple gym, fitness centre, 200m indoor track, climbing wall and multipurpose spaces for classes and clubs to meet. Read more...


Raymond Outdoor Aquatic Centre

There’s no better place to be in the summer than at the Raymond Aquatic Centre. Built last year, the aquatic centre is a wonderful facility for children of all ages and abilities. Facility Manager Kinsey Holt, left, asked families what extras they needed at the new facility and then she applied for a Community Foundation grant for the new tot slide and shade structures.
