  • The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta is a collection of permanently endowed funds, established by donors from all walks of life, which are pooled and invested. The interest earned is used to make grants to a wide range of community organizations.

  • The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta is currently made up of more than 110 endowment funds which will benefit our community in perpetuity

  • Donors to the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta may choose their level of involvement with their fund and the distribution of its interest.

  • The Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta was established in 1966 as the Lethbridge Foundation by a group of visionary community leaders [the 9th community foundation in Canada]. Today the community foundation movement is the fastest-growing area of philanthropy in the country.

  • There are currently 12 community foundations in Alberta, and more than 170 across Canada.
